Wallingford Ukulele Club Small group monthly meeting proposal draft December 16, 2025 Goal: To provide everyone with a monthly opportunity for small group interaction within the Ukulele Club, and to encourage individual members to explore personal development in a small, comfortable environment. • The Steering Committee will designate two members to manage Small Group Meetings (designated as “the Hostages”). The Hostages will coordinate requests for “hosting spots”. Four “hosting spots” will be arranged each month, with the time (day or evening - any time within the third week of the month...), the maximum number of attendees and the subject (if any!) to be determined by the HOST. • The “hosting spots” list will be extended beyond the current month, as necessary, for everyone interested in hosting to have an opportunity to host. • The Hostages will develop a system to offer and monitor sign-ups, and will advise the Steering Committee on the status of the program. • The program will be modified over time as required by our shared experience. The creation of standing “Themed” groups (such as Folk Music) may evolve as a part of that process, as well as groups that welcome beginners. As has been the case with the WUC, evolution is to be expected!
